Most valuable player in the last 2018 Channels Kids Cup, who is a student of LGEA Centre Primary School, Kaiama, YunusMahamood has been given N150,000 schorlaship scheme award by Sheyi Foundation.
Presenting the cheque to the beneficiary’s parents, Kwara Football Association Chairman, Mallam Busari Ishola thanked foundation for supporting the ķid’s education.
Busari, who charged the parents to monitoring their child’s education also promised to follow his football career in order guide him in his future endeavour.
The chairman however implored Yunus, who has been adopted by Kwara Football Academy (KFA) after his success at the 2018 Channels Kids Cup to face his academic pursuit, as he combined academic with football career.
Reacting to the gesture, the father to the beneficiary, Mr. Yunus Mahmood thanked Sheyi Foundation, KFA and Kwara FA for the clash donation, which would help the boy’s academic pursuit.
Sheyi Foundation is owned by 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Sheyi Akinwunmi.
The Director of KFA Mallam Kehinde Joimoh however promised that the academy would monitor his development, especially the education aspect.
