Constituent goes spiritual for Atunwa

The People of Afon Constituency in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state, have expressed confidence in the ability of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Razak Atunwa, in moving the state to greater height, if elected governor in next year’s elections.
This was part of the Communiqué of Afon Constituency Forum of the PDP, at its general meeting and Special prayer held at Afon at the weekend, for all the candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
The Communiqué jointly signed by its chairman, Alhaji Saadu Ajelanwa and Secretary, Alhaji Garuba Salau, explained that the track record of achievements of. Atunwa as commissioner in the state, Speaker of the state House of Assembly and member of the National Assembly, were clear testimonies of his ability to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors.
They also lauded the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari and other stakeholders in ensuring the emergence of Atunwa as the governorship flag bearer of the party, pointing out that he would justify the confidence reposed in him.
The Forum which specifically noted with delight that the first flyover in the State, Asphalt overlay of Ganmo-Afon road and Ilorin International Aviation College, by Dr Bukola Saraki as Governor, were constructed when Atunwa was Commissioner for Works and Transport in the state, enjoined the people to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming general elections, to fast track socio-economic transformation, of the state.
The Afon Constituency Forum equally expressed confidence in the ability of Alhaji Rasaq Lawal and Mr Olusola Abimbola to be worthy ambassadors in both the House of Representatives and Kwara State House of Assembly, respectively, if elected.
Those at the prayer include chieftains of the party in the constituency, political office holders, women, youth and prominent indigenes of the area, including the party’s Kwara Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Adeshina and Alhaji Rasaq Lawal.
