The Imam of Agaka Mosque, Asa Dam Road, Ilorin, Kwara State, Ustaz Yusuf Olopoewa has tasked Muslims to emulate the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) during his lifetime.
The Imam gave the charge during his Juma’at service sermon, noting that the prophet during his times on earth assisted Muslims and other people.
Olopoewa further noted that the prophet was not only sent by Allah to earth for the propagation of Islam, but to show people how to live and relate with others, both Muslims and non-Muslims.
“Prophet Muhammed was the best human being among the Kuraish people as he always helped his people and people that came his way,” he added.
The Imam then chronicled how the prophet received revelation for his mission on earth and how he began the work of God.
He said the prophet started the assigned work of God at the age of 40, saying he first delivered the message of Allah to his family before spreading it to the world.
“He had ‘dream of truth’ that indicated that he would be sent as messenger to the people to convey the message of Allah to mankind.
“After the dream, he was at the place where he used to pray to God and Angel Jibril appeared to him and asked him to read the word of God from the Holy Qur’an.
“The prophet was scared that he ran home and told his wife and she gave him encouragement that whosoever Allah gives any task will not be left alone.”
