The ongoing APC crisis in Kwara State has taken another dimensions as Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo is threatening Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over his ambition for second term.
Akogun, on social media platforms, at a public function recently said that the governor would receive the same treatment given to the previous political traitors.
He further said that the move is not about today but tomorrow, adding that Kwarans have suffered in the hand of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, stressing that it would not exceed four years.
“What we want to tell you is that, it is not today about but tomorrow. By God’s grace our wishes will come to fruition, we have seen some betrayer in the past in Kwara and things didn’t work out fine for them.
“For example the likes of Adamu Attah, his desire didn’t come to fruition, and even when we and Baba Saraki started to relate, we told the incumbent governor then that we would send him out of office.
“Our joint prayer is that these sufferings should not exceed these four years, we don’t want another four years to compound it, may we not suffer for another four years.”
The Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC)Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, has taken a caustic look at the ongoing crisis in the party and concluded that the national leadership of the party is toying with the party, the action, which he said, is not good enough.
Bolarinwa, while addressing some selected newsmen at the Sallah get together he organized for selected party stakeholders and their spouses from all the 16 local government areas of Kwara State, expressed disappointment with the way and manner the Mai Buni-led National caretaker executives have handled the Kwara crisis thus far, stressing that “with all intent, they’ve not been sincere with the grievances of majority of party members.
“The national leadership of party is toying with Kwara, we’ve told them the reality on ground and they appear not to be interested in sincerely addressing the genuine grievances of majority of the party members, all in the name of solidarity with their colleague.
