Truth is never dependent upon consensus of opinions; a man who carries cat by the tail will learn something he can learn no other way. Our best friends are our worst enemies they are the thoughts we have about ourselves, or how else would you describe President Muhammadu Buhari challenging his wife, Aisha, to prove the existence of a cabal that she claimed is in control of his administration…you are sure to be a loser when you ‘fall out’ with yourself, it is called ‘civil war’, it’s simply the explanation.
Buhari has indeed dared Aisha, not funny, but many wondered why. Sai Baba, while responding to an interview with the Hausa service of the Voice of America as shared on social media, said he is of the opinion that slow and steady wins the race’ is best ‘life’s option’ while forgetting that in today’s digitalised age where ‘auto pilot’ with 100% efficiency is possible (there are two attributes; man and woman, yes or no, right or wrong, on or off…) in human terms, women folk is a major attribute, some called it ‘gender sensitivity’. Even in magnetism, north and south are two recognised fields, as simple as that.
While listening to Radio Kwara Information Technology programme FEMTECH, to be precise, improvement that has gone into our lives and our world through technological inventions as it cuts across nations, knows no border. My wife and I were just dropping the argument about a woman’s role in her man’s life after listening to news of President Muhammadu Buhari daring his wife, Aisha over cabal saga. Where I stand with Buhari and of course, she is on her side, Aisha. There are some high profile info you don’t divulge – was the training, Baba knows, abi na Jubril Sudan ni?’ A friend rhetorically asked, except his advisers are not advising him right too…some think.
Not funny, a conversation between me and my wife almost sent me parking out of home, all because of Sai Baba’s ‘that is her business’ stand…all my tricks to cajole her that men are not same proved abortive as she was bent on dealing with me inappropriately but decisively if I tried such… wetin be my own? Your guess is as good as mine. But asking many other women, they all stood with Hajia Aisha in her decision.
Crown and faith are the two pillars on which our world stands …so is man and woman, as our creator did it. Many wondered if it would have been appropriate for Mohammadu to ask Aisha while in the other room, or maybe she is been prevented from inner too, ‘Kai, this Cabal too powerful, na wah o’ though, some sources alleged it is so.
Imagine, when reminded that not only his wife, but many other international analysts had consistently claimed the existence of a cabal running his APC-led government, Mr Buhari simply said ”that is her business”. Hmm, without exaggeration, there are millions of reactions condemning Sai Baba’s response as many want to know if Nigeria is not Aisha’s business and if women folks don’t have stake in the Nigeria project under APC government. Disgrace a woman publicly and pay heavy price was the message … ask the traffic sign, it preaches the world shortest sermon; keep right. Abi who like to do wrong thing?
If you ask me, the best helping hand you will ever find is at the end of your own arm, a good dream has a deadline is what Hajia is telling Muhammadu; who ought not only listen to his ‘better half’ but also be in-tune with recent reality, because when you are faced with the choice between 1970s Volkwagen beetle car and that of 2018 model, your answer will be as good as mine. ‘I wonder who no like better thing’. A man who uses yesterday’s methods in today’s world won’t be in business tomorrow was the sermon as been preached by Aisha.
Those who do not expect anything are never disappointed; Aisha, like many Nigerians are not bothered with cabal running the country but doing it right is what we are all clamouring for; the betterment of our dear nation.
Though, Baba Buhari went ahead to justify his stand, stating the fact that people, including his wife, who make such claims proved his democratic credentials…yes, I agree too, It means everyone is free to say whatever they like. But, irrespective of whatever they say they should come out with proof of what the cabal has forced me to do……”
Evil triumph when good women do nothing, she is loyal enough to be too committed – Aisha Buhari’s belief; the president’s wife had in an interview with the BBC in 2016, threatened to withdraw support for her husband if he chose to seek re-election unless he shakes up his cabinet and include more people who worked for his success in 2015. Oracle said although the victory of the APC in 2015 “was a collective effort of millions of people, only for us to find out that the government is being operated by a few people”…witnessed many criticisms, however, all her critics agree to one fact, the truth must be said, even when it is more than bitterness.
Mrs Buhari, known for her intermittent fiery public rebuke of her husband, said although over 15 million Nigerians voted for Mr Buhari in 2015, “only two or three persons have since taken control of the government”.
Her oracle speaks again while addressing a gathering of APC women in Abuja recently. Mrs Buhari accused Nigerians of allowing two or three unnamed persons to “cage” her husband, thereby limiting his ability to perform. In wisdom, she did not name the individuals or elaborate on her claims. However, many appreciate her stands.
Yes, slow and steady wins the race, was a saying and an olden days belief, but in today’s modern, developed technology-driven world, it is now speed and accuracy, a simple truth none of President Muhammadu Buhari’s advisers and ministers never told Sai Baba. If you ask me, some questions cannot be answered but can be decided, because there are few that can withstand a man who conquers himself… Louis XIV’s thought a recommended quote for Sai Baba.
President Buhari still went ahead to appoint his wife, Aisha, and the wife of the Vice-President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, to serve on the Presidential Advisory Committee on the Elimination of Drug Abuse in the country. Truly, a woman is likened to a tea bag; you never know how strong it can be, until you put in hot water. Our president too agrees.
While trying not to respond out of fear and also not afraid to respond…I think been decisive will rather be better than indifference, If you refused change you may end up in chain, and one cannot just but imagine story of a typewriter engineer who wants to fix computer system, his obsolete knowledge and experiences may be outdated and even irrelevant, or what do you think?
