N’Pilot staff inaugurates c’ttee for book launch
An Ilorin-based publisher and staff of National Pilot Newspaper, Mike Adeyemi has inaugurated a launching committee to birth the arrival of his latest book, titled, ‘Women are the same’.
Speaking at the inauguration of the committee held at the Kwara State NUJ Press Centre, Ilorin, last Thursday, Adeyemi, the Chairman of Mikenomics Inc, a publishing firm explained that the committee is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a successful book launch.
According to him, the book which is his 8th literary work is “written to bring about harmonious relationship between husbands and wives.
“I strongly believe that women are meant to be loved, not to be understood. To understand a woman, you must learn to admit the feminism nature of women,” he said.
The publisher further stated that the event will feature award presentation to some individuals who have impacted positively on him and his career since he took to publishing in 2011.
He recollected how Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN singlehandedly funded his first literary work titled; ‘no sweat no sweet.
“Also, I started my career in journalism as an assistant editor at National Moonlight Newspaper before moving to the National Pilot Newspapers and the MD/Editor in Chief, Alhaji Billy Adedamola had helped me chart a good course in the profession. “
The book which was written and dedicated to the MD of the medium has five chapters and 200 pages.
The trio of Jimoh Bashir, Rowland Olonishuwa and Funto Afolabi were picked as Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of the launching committee respectively.
