Lobi Stars accuses Wydad Casablanca of match-fixing

 

Lobi Stars technical adviser, Solomon Ogbeide accuses their host in Tuesday’s CAF Champions League match of match-fixing.
The Makurdi-based side hold draw host to goalless draw following the one-nil loss at home to Enugu.
According to Goal, Ogbeide reveals that the Nigeria League pronounced champion will report the issue to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) – also disclosing he is disappointed by the act of the North Africans and the state of African Football.
Speaking to media men, Ogbeide reveals that his players were bribed by an unnamed person before the start of the game at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Morocco on Tuesday.
While, Wydad Casablanca are expected to deny this clain before Thursday morning before the Confederation of African Football launch investigation against the side and if found guilty face the risk of been eliminated from the competition.
Lobi Stars are bottom of Group A with four games after four matches, winning a game, drawing one and losing two- while they travel to Pretoria for their next clash with Mamelodi Sundowns on March 9.
