Promote justice, peace, cleric tasks political leaders

A Cleric, Reverend James Adedoyin of ECWA Church, Ita-Elepa, Ilorin, Kwara State has called on political leaders to use their offices to promote peace and ensure well being of the people.
He made the call yesterday in his sermon with the theme: “Righteousness exalteth a nation”, urging political office holders to use their position to eradicate poverty and injustice from the land.
He admonished them to be upright, shun selfish ambitions and let their actions promote peace and also make themselves accessible to the people.
Reverend Adedoyin also called on the people to engage in action that promotes peace and well being of one another.
Similarly, Nigerians have again been charged to take proper care of widows and the less privileged.
A Cleric, Pastor Segun James of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole, Amoyo, who gave the charge in his sermon reminded believers that God cherishes act of kindness to widows and the less privileged.
The cleric noted that it is the responsibility of Christians to give to the widows and the less privileged.
Also, Pastor Isaac Gbemiga Adesina of Kingdom Seed Assembly, Sapati-Ile Phase two, Ilorin, has stressed that prayer is the answer and key to every situation, saying that Nigeria needs prayer for positive change at this crucial time.
Pastor Adesina explained that prayer is the weapon that could bring back the glory of the nation, urging Nigerians to pray without ceasing.
Speaking on the Topic: “Correct Obedience”, Reverend Love Adebiyi of ECWA Chapel, Ilorin noted that God expect His children to demonstrate strong submission and compliance to His instruction as obedience releases blessing, peace and prosperity to the life of the people.
Reverend Adebiyi stated that the nation was going through all the current challenges as a result of the failure to yield to God’s instruction which emphasis the need to obey, worship Him and show love to others in all ramifications.
He called on Nigerians to turn away from all their wicked ways.
Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church off Yidi road, Ilorin in his message titled “Take time to rest,” emphasised the need for people to create enough time to rest to ensure healthy life.
Also in his message with the theme “Prayer is the master key’, Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C A C Anusogolorimi, Kilanko village, Ilorin called on the people to pray for the success of the general elections, stressing that with God all things are possible.
