Alleged Anti-Party: Kwara APC lifts suspension of commissioner

The All Progressive Congress (APC), Ora ward in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has lifted the ban on the Commissioner for Communication and Information, Adenike Afolabi-Oshatimehin over alleged anti party activities.
The commissioner was reportedly y suspended few months ago by the party.
But in a statement on the issue last week jointly signed by the APC chairman, Ora ward, Kareem Taofeeq Bolajoko, Vice chairman, Owowlabi Ezekiel, youth leader, Fowomola Olayode, women leader, Moses Umuani, local government executive members, Saheed Odeshile, Abdulwaheed Idris including three of the party stakeholders , Engr. Akintunde, Prince Yinka Aliu and Owolabi Abraham.
According to the statement, the decision was taken at the party’s Secretariat adding that the Commissioner has since pledge to do her best in moving the party and government forward in Ora.
The statement read: “We the listed signatories and all the members of the All Progressive Congress, Ora ward under the able leadership of the Ora ward chairman of the party, ‘ Mall. Kareem Taofeeq Bolajoko’ wishes to state as follow that the earlier suspension of under listed members for alleged anti party activities and disrespect for other party members, dated 19th June, 2020 involving Hon. Adenike Oshatimehin Afolabi now (Honorable commissioner for communication and information), Dr. Ade Afolabi , Mr Segun Ogunsola and Mr. Yinusa Afoalyan is herewith lifted.
“The decision was taken at the party’s Secretariat in Ora ward. Meanwhile, the Hon commissioner promised to do her best and carry everybody along under the prevailing circumstances.
“We also reached an understanding to the effect that all APC members will work together for the progress of the party in our ward for the upliftment of Ora community.
“The All Progressive Congress Ora ward wishes to acknowledged the positive role played in the reconciliation by His Excellency, Mr. Kayode Alabi, Deputy Governor of Kwara State; Late Chief of staff to the executive Governor of Kwara state (May his soul rest in perfect peace), other notable stakeholders of our great party and Ora community elders,” the statement concluded.
