Suspected cultists kill one in Ilorin

There was pandemonium in Sango area of Ilorin, Kwara State as suspected cultists killed a man, identified as Tunde in cold blood, last Thursday.
The victim, as gathered, was dealt with several matchete cuts before he breathe his last.
According to eye witness, the armed men stormed the area brandishing guns, cutlasses among other dangerous and chanting strange slogans, which made residents to scamper for safety.
“The cultists accosted Tunde who was walking down the street. He took to his heel but unfortunately he was mulled down by bullets fired by his assailants. They moved to where he was and further inflicted his body with matchete cuts.
“The cultists immediately escaped from the scene for fear of being caught. People within the vicinity rushed to the scene to help the victim but it was too late as he had given up the ghost.
” His family members later evacuated his remains and deposited it at a morgue, ” a source in the neighbourhood divulged.
It was gathered that Tunde who had been away in Lagos for a while just relocated to Ilorin on the behest of his parents.
Efforts to get the state police spokesperson, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi to confirm the imcident proved abortive as calls to his phone did not connect at the time of filing this report.
