Kwara NLC warns against impersonation, illicit activities

The Kwara State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has frowned at members engaging in unlawful activities while parading themselves as ‘labour like minds’.
This was contained in a statement duly signed by the Chairman of NLC, Comrade Yekini Kareem Agunbiade and made available to this medium on Tuesday.
The statement reads; “At the end of the issued-based meeting attended by all state executives, the council in session seriously frowned at those parading themselves as NLC people of liked minds especially their unlawful activities of going round various unions and workers to poison their minds against the Congress and its officials in the state.
“The council calls on those ‘like minds ‘ members to desist from this illicit act in their own interest.
“The council acknowledges that the state executive of the Congress is one and indivisible entity while reaffirming its confidence in the ability of the Elders’ Forum and resolved that they should handle the issue of position sharing/allotment among various industrial unions in the state for peaceful co-existence.”
The statement further stated that the council unanimously agreed that the state delegates’ conference should hold on Thursday 25th of April, 2019 as scheduled while also commending the leadership of Comrade Agunbiade and his team for ensuring peaceful industrial atmosphere within the affiliates of the Congress in the state.
