Ilorin 9Mobile Manager in prison custody over alleged N6m scam

The Magistrate court sitting in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital has remanded Manager, 9Mobile Telecommunication Service, Ilorin Mall experience centre, Babajide Adeyemo over alleged N6million scam.
He was said to have converted the sales of recharge card vouchers worth N6million commercial stock to his personal account.
The Police First Information Report, (FIR)revealed that Adeyemo connived with an ex-staff of the company, one Olumuyiwa Rotimi to commit the crime by defrauding the company to the tune of N6,857,000 commercial stock that was entrusted into his hands.
The duo were said to have committed the crime between 2016 and 2017.
The FIR further revealed that investigation conducted at the state CID revealed that Adeyemo and Rotimi ย used the company’s business application known as “WINCAAS” and the inventory modules to transfer the RCVs fraudulently from the commercial stocks to conceal the fraudulent act.
It also also revealed that Adeyemo criminally conspired and shared his official password as the manager of the ย company with Rotimi now at large to perpetrate the act.
They were dragged before Magistrate Ahmed Ibrahim for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and advance fee fraud contrary to section 97 and 312 of penal code law and section 1(3) of advance fee fraud and other related offences Act 2006.
The prosecutor Nasiru Yusuf, informed the court that FIR ย is accompanied with motion exparte of 12 paragraphs deposed to by one Srgt. Ogbole Abraham for ย remand of the defendant.
He therefore prayed the court to grant his application.
In his short ruling, Magistrate Mohammed Ibrahim granted the application of the prosecutor and remanded the defendant in prison custody while the case was adjourned to 18th September, 2019.
