A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Mr Kazeem Olanrewaju Yusuf, has appealed to all factions in the party to work in unison for the party to record success.
Addressing Journalists in Ilorin, Yusuf, who hails from Igbaja in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, urged the APC stakeholders to embrace peace, harmony and oneness with the aim of fulfilling the party’s manifesto.
The APC stalwart, who suffered intimidation, harrasment and loss of property due to his loyalty to the party and a leader of the party, Senator Suleiman Ajadi, explained that it has become necessary for the party to come together.
He lamented the degree of vandalism on his family house in Igbaja, lfelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State and the attack of his residence in Lagos State which “are traumatising”.
Yusuf, a strong financier of the APC, implored members to be wary of saboteurs, who were bent on destabilising the party parading moles within APC.
Yusuf, a staunch supporter of Senator Ajadi, said that Senator Saraki’s relevance in Kwara politics should not be undermined.
The APC chieftain expressed confidence in the ability of the state Governor-elect, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to give the people a new lease of life and called for patience.
Yusuf appealed to APC leaders to eschew any move that could precipitate division in the party and destabilise the incoming government midway, saying that damages had been done and Kwarans expect redemption.
“I can assure you, if the present O to Ge Movement managed the system and victory very well, though it is very difficult to manage, things will get better. A lot of people would come with divergent views that they made this happen.
“But it is a movement, just like what happened in Egypt and Libya. If it happened anywhere, nobody can stop it; it is a tsunami. But we have to be very careful, because there is nothing anybody can say now than to be patient with each other. We need to be magnanimous in victory”, he said.
Yusuf appealed to all factional groups to come together and work as a team, saying that this is only way they could actualize their objectives.
According to him, all hands must be on desk to move the state forward, appealing to APC members to shun anything that could cause disunity within the people and the party at large.
