We’ll bridge gap between rich, poor – Kwara Deputy Gov

 

The Kwara State Government has restated its determination to ensure the development of the state in all ramifications.
The Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi stated this today while speaking at this year’s convention of ECWA Fate/Tanke District Church Council, Ilorin.
Alabi noted that the coming of the new government would bring new hope and development to the state.
He emphasised that the birth of all the evil acts happening around the country is as a result of social injustice stressing that the gap between the rich and the poor must be bridged and it can only happen through empathy.
He said, “A leader does not require a Ph.d or Bsc but empathy.
“When there is no love, there will be peace,” the deputy governor added.
Speaking further, the deputy Governor said the only way to develop Kwara is for politicians to love the people and shun any social injustice.
On education, he said the rich and the poor must be able to co-habit and send their wards to same school, promising that the present administration would fix schools to meet current reality.
The deputy Governor urged the people to be united irrespective of their faith.
In his remarks the IDCC Chairman, Rev. Philip Owoeye emphasised the need for the people to love themselves.
In his message, the Guest Speaker, Rev. Michael Adeniran who spoke on the theme; “behold, I am doing a new thing” called on Christians to allow for new dawn in their life, stating that there is always a new opportunity in everything, and that the people should be prepared as what may be relevant today may not be useful tomorrow.
