Christians cautioned against trading activities during worship hours

By Damilola Alamu
A Cleric has admonished all Christians to stop trading activities on Worship days in order to encourage church attendance.
The Resident Pastor of Peculiar Gospel Outreach Ministry (P.G.O.M) Ibadan Church, Pastor Daniel Ayantoye in his sermon, yesterday, also urged Christians to see continuous communion with God as a necessity in order to keep hope alive for eternal life.
Speaking on the topic: “Harnessing the Power of Evangelism for Supernatural Increase”, the cleric urged Christians to be more proactive with preaching the gospel and evangelism.
He said evangelism is God’s concept and as such should not be handled with levity.
“To attain supernatural increase means to obtain an unstoppable, above-the-natural multiplication in diverse areas. The significant effect of this is that you will be riding on the wings of supernatural supply. No man can stop you. This supernatural flow breaks the law of nature to get to you.
“Evangelism is God’s concept and not man’s and so all Christians must not handle it with levity because the end time is near. Right from the beginning even before the special appointment as written in Ephesians Chapter 7, God designed an increase model for His people and this is attainable through evangelism as contained in Genesis 1:28”
“The moment you are saved and become mature in the faith, you have therefore signed to go after other lost souls; to win the lost sheep and bring back the unbelievers to God.”
Highlighting two salient points why Christians should evangelise, the Cleric citing Mark 16:15 and Luke 15:7 respectively, said evangelism is a command from God to man and because it causes the heavens to rejoice thereby opening the doors of supernatural supplies to man.
“When the heavens smile on you then you will be sure that you will receive heavenly supply. So evangelise because its God’s command, evangelize because you will receive from heavenly supply.” Ayantoye said.
He added,”Today we complain that people are out there selling and buying when they are suppose to be in the Church serving their God-The creator. The truth is there can’t be selling if there is nobody to buy. As there are Christians selling, there are Christians buying. The move of the Church at this time is for christian preachers to not only evangelize to the seller but also urge the buyer who may be in the church now. Pastors should caution members to stop purchasing things on Sundays especially during service hours. This will go a long way in curbing this act and make people focus more on the things of God thereby increasing God’s Kingdom.
“It’s your duty to evangelise. Do that now. Win a soul and you can’t imagine the quantum reward you get from God.”

Christians have been advised to ensure that their utterances are holy and the words that come out of their mouths edifying at all times.

In his sermon on Sunday, Cleric, Pastor Isaac Olushola Ajewole has charged Christians to have conquering spirit to overcome the various challenges of the World.
He gave the charge in his sermon delivered at the 6th service of songs of the Central Choir, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District, Kwara State.

According to Prophet Oladipo, life is vanity, hence the need for Christians to shun anything that is against teachings of the scriptures in their daily life and living.
