5,000 drivers license uncollected in Kwara – FRSC

No fewer than 5,000 drivers licenses were yet to be collected by their owners in Kwara State.
The Kwara State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Sunday Maku disclosed this to newsmen in Ilorin yesterday while also warning against the usage of expired drivers’ licences.
“The Command during our last visit recorded unclaimed printed drivers license at the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) office, totalling about 5,000.
“We are calling on driver license applicants whose temporary license had expired to check their license at the KWIRS office,” he said.
Maku noted that the FRSC has cleared all backlog of unprinted licenses before reaching out to the media.
He however gave a one-week ultimatum to those who are yet to renew their licenses claiming after the expiration; temporary drivers’ licenses would no longer be accepted.
He also called on motorists to ensure that they obey the traffic signs on high ways to curb road traffic crashes.
