The Emir of patigi, Alh. Ibrahim Umar, on Saturday, pledged his support to the Kwara state football association.
His Royal Highness, said sports development is a collective responsibility, hence there’s need for government, stakeholders and local council rulers to support sports development.
The community leader stated this while hosting the football executives led by Malam Idris Musa and his board members.
While congratulating the present administration, he charge them to work assiduously in order to achieve a positive results.
The ruler, noted that he has given out some plots of land to start the construction of a sports arena as part of his efforts to engage and promote his society through sporting activities.
He also lauds the commitment of the association to enhance the sector with the recent visit of the body to various rural area to obtain first hand information with a view to hit the ground running.
