Offa Poly Rector warns students against ‘uncultured’ activities

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, Dr. Lateef Olatunji has promised to provide a conducive environment for qualitative education that will impact positively on the students and subsequently better the society.
The rector made the disclosure at the weekend while commissioning a relaxation centre for the students.
Olatunji charged the students to make use of the facility to improve their academic performance.
He said, “You must shun all forms of social vices as the school authority has zero tolerance for uncultured behaviours.”
He further urged the students to take advantage of some facilities in the school such as ICT which will aid their learning.
He advised the students to work towards the eradication of crimes from the society and prepare youths for future challenge, through proper education, cultivation of reading culture which he said was the crux of discussion by eminent personalities.
Also speaking, the Managing Director of Neebeet Technical Limited, Mr Tunji Isarinade said that the capacity of the relaxation centre commissioned by the rector has a 500 sitting capacity.
” I was impressed with the President of the Students Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Muritala Sheedor for having innovation to construct this developmental projects for the students,” the rector stated.
In his remarks, the SUG President, Sheedor popularly known as Aluta expressed appreciation to the rector of the institution for his leadership role which created an avenue to make the project a reality.
He explained that the relaxation centre brings to three the number of such projects in the institution.
