PDP Chair to Abdulrazaq: Be fair to all Kwarans

The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Engr. Kola Shittu has charged the present administration led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to be fair to all and to ensure even distribution of projects across the state.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Annual General Meeting and launching of almanac of Agbaji Development Association (ADA) held at Agbaji compound in Ilorin, Shittu further tasked the state government to dissuade youths from engaging in illicit activities such as drugs abuse which may destroy their future, through empowerment programmes.
He said, “The state government should try to balance it and stop blaming the past administration by setting up agenda that will move Kwara forward.”
The PDP chairman also urged the youth to pay premium attention to their education, which according to him is bed rock of any nation.
He added that youths should desist from social vices which could affect their future.
Shittu urged other community to emulate ADA even as he urged the present administration on even distribution of dividends of democracy.
In his remarks, the National President of the association, Alhaji Olarewaju Yusuf appreciated former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki for his support through payment of bursary to indigenes of Agbaji and its environ across various institutions and empowerment among others.
He however charged other members of the community to emulate Saraki in impacting positively on the people of the area.
Meanwhile, some members of the community were bestowed with awards for their contribution to the society.
Among the awardees were; Alh. Abdulsalam Adisa Sholaberu, Alh. Saka Opeloyeru, Shehu Atere Agbaji, Maj. (Gen) Abdullahi Uthman, Alh. Mulikat Shuaib and the Director of Projects, ABS Constituency office, Engr. Ibrahim Olayinka Otukoko among others.
