I was redeployed  owing to my versatility – Keyamo

The new minister of state for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo,
has said that his redeployment from the Ministry of Niger Delta was
because of his versatility and readiness to serve in any capacity.
President Muhammadu Buhari redeployed Keyamo, who was the minister of
state for Niger Delta Affairs, in the new position on Tuesday.
The relationship between Keyamo and Godswill Akpabio, minister of
Niger Delta affairs, has been less than cordial.
Tayo Alasoadura, who was the junior minister in the ministry of labour
and employment, is now the minister of state for Niger Delta affairs.
In a statement via his verified Twitter handle, Keyamo thanked Buhari
for finding him “versatile enough to move around”.
“On the move again: Two portfolios in two months! Just been redeployed
to the Ministry of Labour and Employment to work with my long-time big
brother, H.E, Chris Ngige. Thank you, Mr. President for finding me
versatile enough to move around. Always ready to serve in any
capacity,” he tweeted.
Reacting to his redeployment, some Nigerians on Twitter congratulated
the minister on the new portfolio while others criticised him and the
Buhari administration.
“Akpabio be like “after all our initial gragra at EFCC you’re here las
las answering yes sir to me. Now you can port to labour ministry and
serve your punishment my boy” a user tweeted.
“Congratulations sir.I quickly checked here to confirm if the news was
actually true because I don’t trust most of the news these days. I’m
happy because you have the capacity and what it takes to perform
brilliantly in any ministry you might be posted to.Once again
congratulations,” another user said.
