Equip your children with Islamic Knowledge, cleric charges Muslim parents

The Imam Alhamudulillahi mosque, GRA area Ilorin, Kwara State, Alhaji Mustapha Zakariyau Fingba has tasked Muslim parents to sure their children are well equipped with Islamic knowledge.
He said such action will plant the fear of Allah in their hearts and also make them know and follow the right Islamic knowledge.
Fingba made this known on Friday during his sermon (Khutba) at the Juma’at service, adding that Islamic knowledge will help the children to know more about Allah and have the right balance of fear and hope in the worship of  Almighty Allah.
He said “parents should allow their children undergo Quranic training and understand all Islamic jurisprudence but not only expose them to western education alone. The western education is meant for this world alone.
“Islam is the only religion that charges Muslims to seek  knowledge”, he noted.
The cleric said Allah will question every parent on how they trained their children on the day of judgement, adding that children are precious gift given by Almighty Allah.
He also stressed that Imam, preachers and congregants should fear Allah in all their various activities.
“By developing the fear of Allah in their mind, it will lead them to have more knowledge of Allah that will link them to know the dos and don’ts of Allah which open the doors of more blessing of Allah.
He therefore advised the Muslims to “fear Allah in private and in public. By doing that, you will lead by example and increase in the knowledge of Allah to keep off from forbidden acts”, he submitted.
