Salaudeen, Adewumi win 1st Gov. Abdulrazaq Ludo, Ayo Olopon Championship

 

Isiaka Salaudeen and Adewumi Sanjo has emerged the champions of the
first edition of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq Ludo and Ayo Olopon
Competition.
Salaudeen defeated his opponent Abdulateef Lawal 2-1 in Ludo tourney
while Adewumi edged out Bamidele Gbenga in the final of the Ayo Olopon
category held on Wednesday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Kwara
Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
In the third place game, Isiaka Salaudeenย  defeated Prince Tola
Adeniyi in Ludo game and Ade Ajireni beat Adewumi Aluko to claim the
third place champion in Ayo Olopon.
Speaking after the competition, Director of Sports Coach Tunde Kazeem
challenged the participants to see sports as chosen career, adding
that the council is ready to encourage all the traditional sporting
clubs in the state ahead of the next National Sports Festival.
Kazeem, who commended the organisers Ifesowapo/Abe Igi Anu Traditional
Games Center and Kwara State Traditional Sports also reiterated the
council’s commitment towards developing the traditional sports from
the grassroots level.
Speaking earlier, the President of Ifesowapo/Abe Igi Anu Traditional
Games Center, Architect Olushola Olarewaju enjoyed his members to be a
good ambassador of the association.
