The Rotary Club of Offa Cosmopolitan has installed Rotarian Olayinka
Iroye as the new President.
Iroye took the mantle of leadership as the second President of the
club from, Chief Lanre Shittu who is the pioneer president of the
club.
Speaking during the investiture, Iroye said, “I’m privileged with this
honour bestowed on me which I will use the opportunity to have an
inclusive leadership by carrying every member of the club along.
“I will be collaborating with other members of the club to execute the
main objectives of the club by touching lives in the community through
our humanitarian activities.”
According to him the club will play a role in identifying some
projects that will benefit the immediate society.
“When the time comes, I shall request you all to donate generously to
our 2019/2020 projects because real happiness is in helping others.
He emphasised that rotary club is unique because it is built on
connection hence the President encouraged non members of the club to
join the rotary club in their good works.
The president acknowledged the dignitaries and awardees whom he
stressed that they were recognised through their impacts to the
society.
He lauded the effort of the immediate past president of the club for
his exemplary leadership and sacrifice to ensure that the club didn’t
go into extinction.
The event which took place at Awrab Suites, Offa had traditional
rulers, spiritual leaders, academia and captains of industries in
attendance.
