JAFAK CUP: Okaa Sport’s Olamiposi makes history, scores 5 against Alagbado
History was made on Friday as Okaa Sport FA striker, lshiaq Olamiposi scored five second half goals against Alagbado FC in a group A fixture.
Olamiposi found the back of the net in the 48th, 53rd, 62nd, 78th and 89th min to help his team to a 5-0 win leaving Alagbado FC without any point in two matches.
In only two matches, Olamiposi has now scored six goals equalling the record of House of Prayer’s Adams Isaiah who was last season’s top scorer with six goals in as many matches.
Meanwhile, Golden Stars played out a goalless draw with United Academy to hold on to the top spot in Group A.
In Group H, Adedayo Adewuyi scored in the second minute to earn House of Prayer a 1-0 win over Derby FC. Similarly, a 72nd min goal from Abdulkadir Nurudeen was all Young Talent FC needed to defeat Fortune FC.
On Thursday, Shinning Stars and Stallion share the spoils in an enthralling six goals (3-3) encounter in Group F.
The match between Future Stars and Oke-Ose also ended in a 1-1 draw.
In Group G, Okaa Sport FC defeated Mai Jama’a FC with two unreplied goals while Waziri FC ran out 2-1 winners against Starburst.
Meanwhile, the entire JAFAK Cup family was thrown into mourning at the weekend following the passing of Yakub Jimoh, the Chief Coach of Y.K Super Stars.
JAFAK Cup is held in honour of former chairman of Kwara United, Late Sir (Prince) Joseph Aranloye Fakayode and sponsored by his son, Lanre Fakayode.
