The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command has paraded a 65 years old Samuel Darisa for allegedly defiliing a minor in Ilorin, the state capital.
The septuagenarian, who resides at Agba Dam area of the metropolis, reportedly raped a 10-year- year old girl.
The case was said to have been reported to the NSCDC by a neighbour who caught the suspect in the act.
Speaking to newsmen, on Friday, the state Commandant, Iskil Makinde disclosed that the suspected rapist had confessed to have committed the crime.
“He claimed that he had carnal knowledge of the minor just once, with her consent,” the Commandant further disclosed.
Meanwhile, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Babawale Zaid Afolabi said investigation is still ongoing on the case while the suspect would be prosecuted soon.
