Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) B8oard of Trustees, Walid Jubril, has vouched for the integrity of former senate president, Bukola Saraki.
According to him, the ex-Kwara State Governor “cannot be bought.”
Speaking with reporters after a meeting with the Saraki-led reconciliation and strategy committee in Abuja on Thursday, Jubril said with the calibre of people on the former senate presidentโs team, the PDP would come out stronger ahead of the 2023 polls.
The chairman said the partyโs BoT would give the committee the necessary support for it to excel.
โWe are giving them 100 percent support to carry out this assignment. They are fearless,โ he said.
โThey should not fear anybody and no issue of money should be involved in this exercise.
โWe trust Saraki. We know he is the kind of person that cannot be bought by anybody. So, we will fully support him and continue to give him our 100 percent support.โ
He said the board had given its recommendations to the committee to help it perform better.
On his part, Saraki said his committee would meet with everybody to ensure that the party is united.
โWe are going to reach out to everybody. Everybody matters. Everybody has a role to play. As I said yesterday, we started the process with the former president,โ the former senate president said.
โYesterday was with former governors and deputies. Today, we are meeting with BOT. We are reaching out to former leaders of the national assembly, founding fathers.
โNext week, hopefully, we will have sessions with women and youths to bring them together on issues of reconciliation and more participation and other issues.โ
