The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated its members who emerged executives of the party for the North Central at the just concluded Zonal Congress held in Makurdi, Benue State.
The elected North Central executives of the PDP from Kwara are Isa Bawa Adamu; National ex-officio, Hajia Nana Suleiman; Zonal Women Leader and Chief lssa Alabi; Zonal ex-officio.
In a statement released on Sunday by its State Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, the party also congratulated other elected officials of the party for the zone and charged them to discharge their duties effectively and responsibly.
It also commended the national leader of the party and former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Governor Samuel Ortom and other leaders of the PDP in the Zone for their contributions towards the success of the Zonal Congress.
The statement added “We note with satisfaction the roles played by our leaders including Senator David Mark, former Senate president Iyorchia Ayu, His Excellency Governor Jonah Jang, former Governor Babangida Aliyu, Prof Jerry Gana, Iyorchia Ayu, other former Governors, former and serving Senators and Federal House of Representatives members, and other distinguished leaders of our party in the zone.
“They all exhibited uncommon statesmanship and competence in handling the entire process that culminated in the peaceful conduct of the congress.
“We also commend all the delegates and members of the party for their conduct and patriotic disposition during the congress, which ensured a rancour-free exercise. We equally appreciate the delegates for voting candidates from Kwara.
“It is worthy to note that by the smooth and successful conduct of the congress, the PDP in the North Central remains united and indivisible and fully prepared to work for the success of the party in 2023.
“Also worth mentioning is the accommodating nature, love and support exhibited by the Benue State Chapter of our party. It is quite obvious that the coast of victory ahead is very clear and undoubtedly promising.
“Together, we shall build a stronger party in the North Central and deliver the zone for the PDP come 2023.”
