The riddle surrounding the disappearance of a Professor of University of Ilorin, Raphael Babatunde Adeniyi seems to be unraveling with the recovery of his phone in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Professor of Mathematics was declared missing by his family and school authority on Thursday.
He was said to have visited a bank at Tanke junction, Ilorin, the state capital before he went missing.
According to security sources, the cellphone of the missing University don has been found, but his whereabouts still unknown.
It was learnt that the Professor was just recovering from a surgical operation prior to the incident.
When contacted on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed that Professor Adeniyi’s phone had been found at Lafiagi.
He added that ” The phone was found with a small boy at Lafiagi and investigation is still ongoing.”
