The distinguished Provost, going by his antecedents is a man of integrity and has always engaged himself only in things that would not jeopardize his hard earned reputation. Today, he is a role model not only to the college community, where he superintends but even to his colleagues who assiduously aspire for his uncommon leadership qualities and potentials.
With over twenty years of problem(s)-solving research studies in education sector and national development, Dr. Olokooba have over 30 published articles touching areas germane to his field of study. He held public lectures covering vital issues like: Examination in Nigeria System: management, conduct, challenges and others. This rare Gem and educational administrator has contributed to the development of education in Nigeria. Dr. Olokoobahas been honoured with several awards touching his excellent performance in educational development by several organisations.
Dr. Olokooba is an illustrious son of Ilorin Emirate in Kwara Central of North Central of Nigeria. To the glory of Almighty Allah, he is Provost, Kwara State College of Arabic, Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin. He held the bull by the horn, since assumption of office, his being making genuine efforts to see that qualitative education with discipline is developed in his college despite lean financial resources.
In his own right, the distinguished Provost is a vibrant administrator, energetic, full of ideas, lover of people, trusted and most importantly a very good team player. Assisting him to achieve success are: Barr. Ibrahim Khadijat Eletu, Deputy Provost (Admin), Alhaja Owokunle Bola Fatima (Academics), Mr. Afolabi Suleiman, (Registrar), Engr. Abdulganiyu Ibrahim Ayilara (Director of works), Hajia Laaro Medinat Dolapo (Librarian), Mall. Suleiman Ishola (Bursar) and other dependable officers of the college. It is on record that the college campus/community has experienced peace, concord, unity and gradual development under the wise guidance of the college administrator – Dr. Olokooba.
An opinion poll conducted by an independent media outfit shows that Dr. Olokooba is leading a resourceful management team with highly discipline and hardworking staff who are very committed to their jobs/professional callings. It also reveals that peace the basis of socio-educational development anywhere in the world is apparent not only in the college community alone entire neighbourhood is very peaceful, revealing that the Provost is an embodiment of peace, exemplary leader, outstanding resource manager, patient and listening, who has distinguished himself in his chosen career.
A security guard attached to the college library said, “Oga Provost is a star at its peak of brightness, very humble and has human feelings for all, irrespective of class, position, colour, sex, race etc. I pray for him daily to continue to succeed as a big job is waiting for him in Abuja in the nearest future”.
This journalist is encouraged with the fact that “a river breaks through a rock not by its power but persistence” no doubt the Provost has mustered enough courage to tackle the challenges ahead of him as they unfold. This fact has made Dr. Olokooba Abdullahi Ayinla a good ambassador and destiny changer of future generation who has key into Kwara State Government education reforms. He once told a media house, “Our products are trained to be knowledge impartors with sound moral character and can compete favourably with their counterpart anywhere in the world”.
His determination, commitment and great personal conduct being exhibited since his assumption of office brings smiles to students, staffs and researchers faces a clear testimony that Dr. Olokooba is a man of history, courageously responding to the challenges of purposeful leadership.
