Students of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin have been charged to always embrace decency and live a responsible life, National Pilot learnt.
Speaking on this development, the Rector of the institution, Dr. Abdul Jimoh stated this on Wednesday during the unveiling of a relaxation edifice constructed and donated by the Students Union Government (SUG) of the school.
According to him, ‘I felt happy for the initiative coming from the leadership of students union to have come up with this laudable achievement.’
Dr. Jimoh, while appreciating the SUG initiative, said “I want to charge the students of this great institution to always exhibit responsible traits within and outside the campus. Am delighted for the initiative of the Students’ leadership who showed a great sense of responsibility to undertake this great and befitting edifice.
Furthermore, “I want to advise you to display responsibility in all ramifications by shunning sagging and animal hair styles which are not meant for responsible students. I want to charge you to always dress well and cute to attract healthy living,” the Rector admonished.
Dr. Jimoh, however called on all students to emulate the Students Union President by giving other executive members a sense of belonging, saying the money generated from Students Union fees was used to construct the relaxation edifice.
