Kwara NSCDC nab man over goat theft

A goat thief, Garuba Ashin is currently cooling his feet in the net of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Kwara state command, following his arrest for stealing a goat in Kaiama.
The command spokesman,Babawale Afolabi in a statement said Ashin was arrested on Thursday while trying to steal some goats in a Kaiama neighborhood.
According to the statement, “efforts
to rid the state of incessant goat and sheep theft yielded results on Thursday as one Garuba Ashin of Iwala Area, Kaima was arrested while making attempt to steal some goats in the neighborhood.”
Several officers of the Command from the Kaima divisional office , Afolabi further stated,have been on regular surveillance within the neighborhood in recent time as a result of repeated reports and complaints of the residents over the missing of their domestic animals
” The intense surveillance being carried out paid off recently as one Garuba Ashin of Iwala Area in Kaima, Baruten local government was caught in the act while trying to steal goats belonging to Hossan Abubakar.
“the suspect has been transfered to the NSCDC state command in ilorin while efforts are ongoing to round up other members of the gang.
” Investigations have revealed that these goat thieves are in group and we are working round the clock to arrest other members of the group”
