Cleric blames women for high rate of divorce

The high rate of divorce in the society have been attributed to the failure of women to play their roles effectively at the home front.
A Cleric, Special Mother-in-Israel Bola Adebowale noted this in her sermon delivered at the thanksgiving service to mark Mother’s Day at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters, Kwara State, yesterday.
She blamed women for the increasing rate broken homes and decadence in the society, alluding it to their inability to discharge their responsibilities as prescribed by God.
The cleric stated that it is only when the family, which us the smallest unit of the society is at peace that the nation can enjoy tranquility and consequently witness development.
Speaking on the Topic “Women of faith”, Adebowale emphasised the significance role of women at home and the society, calling on the female folk to live up to expectation.
The cleric challenged mothers to ensure proper upbringing of their children and train them in the way of the Lord, pointing out that charity begins at home.
She implored women to lead exemplary life in order to leave good legacy for the coming generation to emulate, urging them to be prayerful and seek spiritual upliftnent.
Adebowale also called on children to appreciate their parents especially their mothers at all times for their love and care.
The cleric advised those in positions of authority and politicians not to use youth as thugs but rather empower then educationally and economically, to ensure a better nation.
