The Kwara State Women chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP is shocked to learn of the gruesome murder of Mrs. Olumo Abolaji, the APC Women Leader of Koro Ward in Ekiti LGA in Kwara State, who was abducted, and subsequently killed by bandits in cold blood.
We commiserates with the APC and extends our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the entire APC over this irreparable loss.
In the wake of this unfortunate occurrence, we condemn in strong terms, this ugly incident as it further exposes the obvious fact that our dear state is currently experiencing a very monstrous situation under this APC maladministration. This and other sad developments of rising spate of insecurity in Kwara, has pushed especially women; who are always more often than not at the receiving end, to worse levels of hardship such as was never before experienced in the hitherto state of harmony.
The PDP administration was and has always been renowned for active women political participation, harmonious coexistence, peace, safety and security of lives and properties.
We therefore use this medium to call on good Kwarans to be vigilant against this APC’s escalated advent of killing of our women as we call on those in positions of power to use every available resources to effectively manage the unacceptable grotesque, incessant, overlapping security crisis and bring lasting tranquility to citizens and residents of our dear state.
