“ATYSTIC” A platform for new and aspiring artists

Atystic is an exhibition platform for artists established by two students within the four walls of a classroom. Yahaya Yisa and Muhammed Yakub conceived an idea to birth a platform that aids and supports young and developing artists in showcasing their works in Nigeria. The idea was conceived at a low point in the lives of the two young creatives, where they came across obstacles in their journey into the Art Exhibition Scene. Oftentimes, galleries require artists to show proof of previous exhibitions before they can showcase their works. This is often a struggle for up and coming artists.
The duo understands the struggle of young artists in Nigeria as they’ve also been through it. Hence, why the young artists took it upon themselves to create a platform owned by the young for the young. The main goal of Atystic is to help emerging artists break into the art scene and give them a platform and a voice to promote their works. The platform is targeted at people who are new to the canvas, people who are just starting out and are still in the early stage of their career an artist.
On this note, Atystic plans to host two public events before the end of the year.
