Nurture Learning Academy Holds Maiden JSS3 Graduation Ceremony in Ilorin

It was a day full of joy and happiness for students, staff and parents of Nurture Learning Academy, Asa-dam Road, Ilorin, Kwara State, as the school held its maiden graduation ceremony for three students, Babatunde Ahmed Opeyemi, Badmus Hany Ariwoola and Abdulqadir Adnan Alaaya who are the first sect of junior secondary school 3 graduands in the six year history of the school.
The students who graduated from Grade 5 to Junior secondary school one are; Lukman Aisha, Mohammed-Mosadi Mutmainah, Zulu-Gambari Aisha, Aribidesi Hameedah, Olaniyi Fariah, Abdulrahman Nana Khadijah, Olatunji Khairoh, Bello Mazidah Funmilayo, Dele Hawah, Abdulganiy Oladimeji Yusuf, Ahmed Yasir Omotosho, Abubakar Sadiq Agunbiade, Abubakar Nuhu Abdullahi, Zubair Aliamin Adebayo.
The graduation and prize giving event which was held at the school compound, had the attendance of eminent personalities in kwara state like; the husband to the founder of Nurture Learning Academy, Alhaji Abdulkareem Saka Adebimpe, Former chairman of local governments commission, Alhaja Sarat Adebayo, Prince Yusuf Siyanbola Sulu-Gambari, Directress of Ministry of Women Affairs , Mrs MJ Yusuf, Representatives of Ministry of Education quality control, Mr Daudu and Mrs Qasim, Directress Sinclair Hotel, Princess Iyabo Obatoyinbo.
The event, which began a few minutes to 11 am, was full of edutainment presentations from students of the school. The flawless presentation of over fifty Hadith by Bashir Nashra and Soliu Usmiyah from the Holy Quran added more excitement to the event as parents left their seats to applaud and gifts the students cash as an encouragement of a well-done job.
While speaking with National pilot, Nurture Learning Academy Head of Admin Mr Bello, who spoke on behalf of the School Director, Mrs Balikis Temitope Saka, revealed that the school combine Islamic education and western education together to Nurture children that would have sound knowledge of Islam, as well as the 21st century Western education.
“We observed that it is not only Western education that is paramount to us. We also want these students to understand the Islamic religion. Western education will only cater for this life, but Islamic will cater for life after, ” he said.
The founder of Nurture Learning Academy, Dr Ayinke Saka while speaking with National pilot disclosed that the milestone graduation ceremony of the first sect of JSS3 students is what she didn’t expect would happen soon because the school is still growing.
“We wanted to wait till we clock 10 years. But with the help of people advising and supporting us, they said, “Why don’t we continue and start JSS?” Today, we have produced the first sect of JSS, and they have 100% in the just released NECO result for Junior secondary school 3″ she said.
