Kwara police parades 6 notorious fulani kidnappers, 21 others

Kwara state police command on friday paraded six suspected fulani kidnappers alleged to be gang members of late adamu abacha’s group who was involved in the abduction of former secretary to government of the federation, chief olu falae.
Abacha was killed during a gun duel with operatives of federal security anti-robbery squad (fsars), in moro local government area of the state, which also claimed the life of cpl yusuf machi with identification number 274148.
The six suspects paraded are abubakar mohammed, sanni abubakar, sani isa, abubakar tukur, lawal ahmadu and mohammed jantu from different parts of the country.
Addressing newsmen, the state commissioner of police, ado lawan, said the suspects were arrested last december based on intelligence report from mokwa police station in niger state command on the movement of some cattle rustlers and kidnappers escaping from the state.
According to the cp, the suspects during interrogation revealed the whereabout of their kingpin, abacha, which led to the operation which led to his death and the loss of the officer.
Lawan further disclosed that two suspected kidnappers were arrested last year november for kidnapping one alhaji hassan abdulwahab taiye of chikanda.
He was said to have been abducted from the mosque by four gunmen, two of whom wore army uniform and wielded ak47 rifles.

“the car was later abandoned along yashikira/kosubosu road . Through telephone call received from yashikira police station, detectives from state cid took up the investigation and searched the bush and three unregistered motorcycles were recovered. The suspects confessed to the crime, arms were recovered and effort to arrest other members of the gang is ongoing.”
Also paraded were three suspected armed robbers, ibrahim alhaji, muhammed audu and mutari abdulkareem who attacked and robbed abdulkadri ibrahim of baburu compound, lafiagi, dispossessing him of n65,000 and phone.
“the victim reported the case at lafiagi police station that five armed men invaded his house and the case was later handled by the state cid operatives, which led to the arrest of the three, who confessed to the crime. The police recovered one dell laptop and one techno t528 phone from them,” cp added.
Two suspected armed robbers cp nasiru ademola and abdulrasheed nurudeen, were also paraded.
They reportedly carried out the robbery operation at the house of mikail rasheedat of youth camp, eyenkorin and carted away lg 32 inches plasma tv, mobile handsets, other home gadgets, cash sum of n20,000 and honda accord car with reg abuja cz 674 abj.“with the aid of inteligence applied, one of the stolen itel phones was tracked, then traced to one of the suspects, nasiru who confessed to the crime and mentioned as his accomplices; ridwan rasheed, dele presently at large also led the officers to sakama where the car was recovered, investigation is still on.
Others paraded were hassan kanike and amidu kanike for robbing one teki alawiye of odota of his official car toyota corrolla with reg lagos mus 537 db, valued n3.5 million naira, as well as qudus olakunle alaya for robbery attack on one taiwo yusuf adebayo at his factory.
The police also arrested omotoyosi niyi and azeez lawal who were also paraded for robbing pastor joseph adebayo of olunlade of his bajaj motorcycle.
The police boss also paraded seven suspected armed robbers that invaded nuku village via kaiama with dangerous weapons with which they attacked and robbed ganiyu orelope and isiaka orelope of six assorted handsets, clothes, cash sum of n152,000 and other valuable items.
