PADA: Gov Ahmed, SSG, others bag excellence awards

The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold were yesterday honoured with awards of excellence by Pakata Area Development Association (PADA).

The awards according to PADA were given on merit based on the contributions of the recipients to the development of the state and their immediate community.

The awards were given during the launching of the association’s 2019 almanac at the Pakata Multi- Purpose Hall, Ita-Nmo.

Speaking with our reporter, the Chairman of the association, Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo who was represented by Alhaji Muritala Adi said, “Each awardee has contributed in one way or the other to the development of their communities and humanity generally.”

He added that the event is a targeted at making others to emulate and continue the good work of the awardees.

The chairman listed the establishment of Anifowose market, construction of multipurpose hall, electrification of the hall among others as the achievements of PADA. 

Other awardees included; former president of Ilorin Emirates Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulhamid Adi, Barr. Ibrahim Gold and Principal, Queen Elizabeth Senior Secondary School, Hajia Rahmat Abdulrahman.
