Funke Adedoyin: Kwara PDP mourns

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed shock and grief over the sudden demise of Princess Funke Adedoyin, the member representing Irepodun/Ekiti/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
In a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Mr Tunde Ashaolu on Friday, the party described Adedoyinโs death as great loss and commiserated with her family, colleagues at the National Assembly, her constituents and the government and people of Kwara State.
The party noted that Nigeria has lost one of its dedicated and patriotic lawmakers whose legislative contributions and engagements in the House were geared towards a better life for Nigerians.
It said as a loyal party member, dedicated public servant and a grassroots politician, Adedoyin would dearly be missed by the party, her constituency, Kwara State and the country as a whole.
โThe Kwara PDP prays that God Almighty grant soul of Princess Funke Adedoyin eternal rest and her family and loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.โ
Until her death, Adedoyin was the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Army. She reportedly died this afternoon in Abuja. Adedoyin also served as Minister of Youth Development and later as Minsiter of Health under the administration of former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
