‘NAGGMDP responsible for 85% of healthcare delivery’
The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP) is responsible for more than 85 percent of the populace who seek services at the primary and secondary systems of health care in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by the President of the association, Dr. Abubakar Ayinla while speaking at his inauguration recently.
He stressed that the health burden of the nation rest hugely on the shoulder of members of the association, urging them to continue to show commitment and dedication to work.
Ayinla promised to inject a renewed passion and zeal to the association, urging members to sacrifice and build friendship with government, others
He tasked members to sacrifice and build friendship with legislative arms of government and other health workers.
He noted that there is need to form friendship across all strata for effective implementation of the objectives of delivering effective health care at all levels of care in Nigeria.
“Every member must work jointly in a well coordinated manner to achieve objectives of NAGGMDP.
“We shall all have to part some more coins and naira notes and bring out ingenuity to bear as we act in consonance with our constitution to rebuild the NAGGMDP of our dream, ” he said.
The President of NAGGMDP stated that he had constituted a ‘Presidential Working Group’ that comprised of all colleagues of recently constituted National Officers Committee (NOC) that signified interest.
He said that the group will take responsibility for the strategic implementation and execution of action and plan for 2018 to 2020 executive year.
He also disclosed that the first task of the NOC in conjunction with the presidential working committee is to jointly get the ‘Associations vehicle’ and get it commissioned during the next National Executive Council (NEC) which will hold in April/May 2019.
