2023: Correct mistakes of last polls, Kwara PDP chair charges members

The Kwara State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr Kola Shittu on Sunday in Ilorin charged party members and supporters to correct the mistakes it made in the last generation election for the party to come out stronger in the state.
Shittu who was speaking during a special prayer organised by the Ilorin West local Government Executive of the PDP, held at Ile-Arugbo, GRA, Ilorin further noted that the event was also to thank Almighty Allah for the former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki for successfully leading the 8th Senate despite the numerous challenges.
According to him, “the prayer was to thank Almighty Allah for former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki for successfully steering the ship of the eight senate despite the challenges.
“I enjoined party members in the state to be steadfast and begin to correct all mistakes made during the last general elections. So in the coming general elections, the PDP will win”, he added.
Leading the prayer, the Imam of Agbaji, Alhaji Haminullahi Tantolohun described Saraki as a man of God who used his wealth to propagate Islam and served humanity.
Alhaji Tantolohun said the former Senate President was God sent to the people of the state and the country in general adding that the prayer was to thanked Allah for the successful tenure of the former Senate President.
He prayed Allah to give him another opportunity to pilot affairs of the country as President to greater heights.
Also speaking, the PDP Chairman, Ilorin West Local Government Area, Alhaji Aminullahi Baba-Akota said the prayer was to appreciate and thank Allah for Dr Bukola Saraki’s tenure as the eight Senate President.
While emphasizing that Saraki was the first Muslim Senate President in county’s history, the party ward chairman said Saraki was faced with daunting challenges during his tenure but with prayers, Allah was able to see him through.
The prayer was attended by Imams, Islamic clerics, political leaders, prominent personalities and politicians among whom are the Director General, Mandate Constancy Office, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, Alhaji Suleiman Kayode Maja, Senator Salman Adebayo, Engineer Tunji Yusuf Magaji, former SSA on Judiciary Matter, Hajia Monsurat Peace, former State House of Assembly member, Hajia Segilola Jimoh AbdulKadir among others.
