The Kwara South Youths Assembly (KWSYA) has charged the Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Ashiru to be committed, dedicated and focused in the discharge of his legislative responsibilities capable of moving the area forward.
In a statement signed by the coordinator of the forum, Barr. Nuruddin Temi Salam, the forum noted that the lawmaker should at all times be ready to contribute his quota to the development of the district.
According to the statement, the Senatorial District has not felt the representation of the lawmaker at the National Assembly where his doors were shut for positive criticisms.
The statement explained that the lawmaker has not lived up to expectation in the discharge of his responsibilities and engages in political vendetta which is capable of impacting negatively to the development of the district and move it to the next level.
It emphasised that the district lost out the Federal College of Education which could have foster more educational development due to the senatorโs lack of commitments.
The statement however charged the lawmaker to as a matter of urgency open his constituency office in order for people to have access to his policies and programmes that would move the area forward.
The statement also advised the lawmaker to replace all non Kwaran aides with indigenous ones from the district as well as making adequate accountability of constituency allowances.
It therefore commended the Kwara State Government led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his efforts so far aimed at providing developmental facilities toward moving the area forward and urged him to maintain the tempo.
