Alhaja Khadija Abdulraheem, wife of Magistrate Abdulraheem Bello, a jurist at the Kwara State Judiciary, yesterday, cheated death by providence in a ghastly accident that saw her Toyota Highlander jeep went up in flames.
The ugly incident reportedly happened in Oyo town on her way back from Ibadan to Ilorin where she had gone to write promotion examination.
It was gathered that the magistrate’s wife would have died if not for the immediate intervention of the people around who thronged the scene of the incident and evacuated her from the burning vehicle.
The husband, while speaking with our correspondent, said in emotional laden voice, ‘the only car we’re using is gone’.
Magistrate Bello said the car exploded on its own and eventually burnt down completely saying he’s appreciative to God for sparing his wife’s life.
