The immediate past Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, alongside Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Governor Bala Mohammed ,on Monday, met with Governor Patrick Okowa of Delta to discuss plans for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to adopt consensus presidential candidate.
The meeting was made public by Saraki in his post on his social media accounts.
According to him, the visit to Okowa, was aimed at discussing with him plans for the party to adopt consensus candidate.
Saraki noted that the process will help to foster ,”The unity of our party before and after our presidential primary remains our priority.”
The Presidential hopeful however noted that, their host was receptive to the idea of consensus-building and unity within our ranks.
Adding that Nigerians want to see a stronger and more united PDP that can help to solve the pressing issues of insecurity, job loss, and a struggling economy.
