On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred in Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara State, as the people of Aliara Street of Manjasurawa Area discovered the dead body of an unidentified man, estimated to be about 38 years old, in a domestic well.
According to a statement released by Kwara State Fire Service, Head, Media, and Publicity, SFO Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, it was revealed that the firemen promptly commenced their rescue operation but tragically they were only able to recover the dead body of the victim.
“The firemen promptly commenced their rescue operation and recovered the man dead,” the statement read.
It was revealed that the victim’s body was subsequently handed over to DCO Olatunji of the Nigeria Police Force, Ganmo Division for further investigation.
“His body was handed over to DCO Olatunji of the Nigeria Police Force, Ganmo Division. An investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the incident.” The statement revealed.
The community remains in shock as they await further details on this unfortunate event.
