Ilorin East chief suspended over alleged hate speeches

The Ilorin Emirate Magajis/Alanguas Forum has announced the immediate suspension of the Baale Apado, Subairu Titus over allegation of hate speeches.
This was contained in a press statement issued on Tuesday and jointly signed by the forum Chairman, Alh. Abdulwahab Sanni and the Secretary Dr. Saliu Woru Mohammed.
Part of the statement reads; “We observed with dismay, the incessant anti-forum activities of Baale Apado, Subairu Titus, which is capable of causing disaffection, breakdown of peace and harmony among law abiding communities not only in Ilorin Emirate but Kwara State in general.”
It further alleged that Subairu consistently engage in hate speeches against a particular community in the state despite being a traditional title holder under the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
“In view of the above unfortunate and lawlessness incidence, the forum wishes to announce the immediate suspension of Baale Apado, Subairu Titus from all its activities.”
The statement however urged residents of Ilorin East Local Government Area and other law-abiding citizens of the Emirate to stop forthwith dealing with the suspended Baale in the interest of peace and tranquillity.
It added that the suspension is with immediate effect unless otherwise lifted by the Emir of Ilorin.
The statement also advised law enforcement agencies, particularly the police to keep watch of the activities of Subairu and take necessary action to sustain the peace and harmony being enjoyed in the state.
