Saraki to unveil Senate President cup, Friday

The Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) will on Friday this week formally unveil the Senate President Unity Cup U-20 national football tournament at Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre, Abuja.
The tournament scheduled to take place at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin will hold between September 11th – 25th of November, 2017.
The tournament is design to bring the youths from the 36 states and FCT together, using the round leather object to unite Nigerians.
Abdulrauph Abdulsalam, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee who disclosed this in Ilorin at the weekend said that the ceremony slated for 3pm would attract members of the National Assembly, NFA big wigs and football stakeholders in the country.
Meanwhile, the Nollywood Actor, Femi Adebayo (a.k.a Jelili), has been named as the face of the Senate President Unity Cup soccer competition.
The actor, who is also the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kwara State on Art, Culture and Tourism, says the soccer fiesta, which shall be held in the state, will not only promote peace and unity of the country, but would also serve as a template for promotion of Kwara tourism and culture.
