Proud to be from ghetto- Idyl, winner of Voice Nigeria season 2

 

Bayelsa-born singer, Idyl, a contestant in the just-concluded second season of The Voice Nigeria has been announced as the winner.

Idly made it to the top four of the competition after winning against his fellow Team Timi contestant, Jahtell.

In the final leg of the competition, he competed alongside Team Patoranking’s Ebube and won with over 10million votes cast in his name.

He would also be given a recording contract with Universal Records, a GS4 SUV from GAC Motors and a trip round Dubai.

The young man won the competition with a spectacular performance of John Legend’s This Time.

Idyl who said he is proud to  be from the ghetto, on his Instagram page, expressed that he is delighted  over his achievement in the competition.

He wrote: “I’m proud to say I am a ghetto youth, I was raised in the streets by the streets, But the Grace has brought me this Far.”
