Kwara squash association honours NYG medallists

 

The Kwara State Squash Association has honoured their players that won medals at the just concluded National Youth Games (NYG), held in Ilorin.

Recalled that Kwara won three gold and three silver in the Singles, Boys and Girls, and in the Girls team event in the recent National Youth Games (NYG) hosted by University of Ilorin.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Sports Coach Tunde Kazeem praised the players for making the state proud.

Kazeem also commended Chairman, Kwara Squash Association, Pro. Yinka Buhari and other veterans for their support.

He enjoyed other philanthropists to support the state government in promotion of sports in the state.

Speaking earlier, the squash chairman advised the players to work hard and bring more success to the state.

He reiterated the association’s support to the players in order to encourage them to do more.

Meanwhile five female kwara squash players have a travelled to Lagos State to represent the state at the National Squash League game.

The players are Oladipupo Balogun, Rofiat Abdulazeez, Faidat Soliu, Odunade Adeyi and Blessing Isaac.
