Rhema Chapel Int’l. marks 30th anniversary Dec, 4

All is set for the convention and celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Rhema Chapel International.
The celebration also coincides with the 60th birthday of the General Overseer of the Church, Reverend George Adegboye.
The celebration galore, which is a weeklong event, will kick start on December 4, 2017.
Briefing journalists over the weekend at the Church Headquarters, Tanke in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital as part of preparation for the much awaited celebration, the Pastor in charge of Rhema Chapel, Oluyole, Ibadan Oyo State, Pastor Tunde Mabinuori, said arrangements have been concluded to organise a memorable and hitch free celebration of the church.
Pastor Mabinuori who used the briefing to elucidate extensively on the landmark achievements and human capital development programmes of the church, explained that this year’s convention of the Rhema Chapel International Churches was very significant not only because it marks the 30th anniversary of the church but also coincides with the 60th birthday Adegboye
The cleric mentioned that some of the contributions of the ministry to its host communities include free distribution of foodstuff to the needy, people at designated centres at Tanke Bubu, Tanke Ile-Iwe, and Tanke
The religious leader also stated that, ” the authority of the church has also been engaging in free medical services which include 24 hours free clinic services to both members and nonmembers of the church on yearly basis.
He added, “In addition to all these, we administer drugs worth millions of naira free of charge to those in need of it, free sinking of boreholes at four points in the community, to support continued water supply in the area and the renovation of the house of the traditional ruler of Tanke”.
“Also, the church has done a complete overhauling, on at least two occasions, of the patrol cars of the ‘F’ Division of The Nigerian Police command Tanke and the purchase of a five KVA Generator for the same police station. We have also donated thousands of building blocks to the same outfit.
He stated,” as at today the church has just completed the building of a Security Post for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Tanke, to help in the maintenance of law and order in the community. This will be handed over to the community in the first week of December 2017″ he pledged.
Meanwhile, the clergyman revealed that the church was inaugurated on 29th of November 1987 at Circular hotel Ilorin and started its regular services at the then Katola Nursery and Primary school Tanke on December 3rd 1987 and moved across the road to its temporary worship site, also in Tanke in1989.
He explained further that the Church later on moved to its permanent site- known as the International Convention Center for all nations in September 2005.
“Today, the number of Rhema chapel international churches stands at 34 in various locations in many state capitals in Nigeria” he said.
He informed that the church has 14 satellites and World Outreach churches in addition and apart from these, three indigenous languages–Yoruba Rhema chapels. This is in addition to four tertiary institutions campus churches in Iree, Ede, Ado Ekiti and Minna.
He said there are also international expressions of the church in at least two nations at present, in addition with its numerous support to missions and other church ministries across the country.
He disclosed that, the number of Rhema chapel church branches is 49.
