KFA gives scholarship to 20 selected footballers

As part of efforts to encourage grassroots sports, Kwara Football Academy has doled out scholarship to 20 talented football selected from the grassroots.
Kwara Football Academy students who wrote the 2017 National Extermination Council (NECO) and West African Extermination Council (WAEC), May, June has came out flying colour.
In another development, 95% students of the college who sat for the 2017 National Extermination Council (NECO) and West African Extermination Council (WAEC), May, June came out flying colour.
The school Administrator, Mallam Kehinde Jimoh, who release the information to Pilot Sports at the weekend said the college didn’t only performed well in the field of play, they are equally doing well in academics excellence.
In the results of the NECO results made available to this medium, the total number of 17 students that sat for the extermination recorded 100 per cent in subject like mathematics.
The also scored 100 per cent in chemistry, biology, physics, commerce, government economics, civil education and religious studies.
The college also recorded a success in English language as the students scored 86.2%, which above average.
Also WAEC, 94% of the 34 students that wrote the extermination passed with five credit, including mathematics and and English language.
Speaking on the development, the administrator attributed the success to the hard work of staff and the support given by the state Governor Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development headed Alhaji Kale Ayo Nuhu.
“This is a good development and want thank all the staff of the college towards the development of these children and I also thank the state government for their support because if the staff are not well paid their wouldn’t be a positive Response to their job.
“We are looking forward to better development in their academics because people are now having confidence in us and I want to promise that we will continue to do our best in field of play and also in academics excellence”, Kehinde promised.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to continuing to give more scholarships to outstanding players outside in order to develop the grassroots sports.
Kehinde affirmed that no fewer than 20 players were given free admission into the school in order to cater for the grassroots development.
